The following is an excerpt from the upcoming book and photo essay 'Through Pains Of Glass', a passage of remembrance, dedication and, acceptance.

... We build a life by placing bricks at a point in time. Hardened by heat and life experiences, each paver makes us stronger as we endeavor to dream and rise to new heights. Whether our momentum is vertical or lateral, we require additional support between each experience. The mortar of our existence provides a buffer, connecting us to our past, present, and future. As the years' pass, the very foundation of our existence can become compromised by emotional and physical displacement. Strength and stability are fleeting. The deterioration of our support, our buffer, requires attention, restoration and, a desire to repair our shattered or broken illusions.
